Exploring the principles of organic design, Throne is a sculptural seat that appears suspended in motion. Its sweeping, fluid shape draws on the geometry of hyperbolic paraboloids, where intersecting straight lines create a surface that seems to ripple, twist and bend through space.

Handcrafted from metal, the structure forms an intricate, interwoven framework. A black dip-coated finish unifies the composition, accentuating its silhouette and the interplay of light and shadow across the structure. At its centre, a tempered glass panel forms the seat, providing support while maintaining the visual continuity of the metal framework beneath.

Developed over eighteen months, Throne evolved through an exploration of organic forms and geometry. The central challenge lay in translating a complex geometric concept into a tangible, sculptural form.
